GAP Application
Welcome to God’s Alternative Program. Our mission is to equip you for TRUE SUCCESS that is built on cultivating Stewardship, Stamina, and Skills, and we believe that this application will help us better understand your hunger and desire to join us on that journey.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Applications will be considered in the order they are received. We value quality over quantity, and as such, at this point in the GAP’s development, there are a limited number of slots of acceptance. Follow the steps below to begin your journey on Denton Bible’s GAP Year Life-Leadership Program:
- Step 1: Complete the written portion below (allow approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour). Once you submit the application, you will receive an email with instructions for step 2.
- Step 2: Record and submit a 2-5 minute video answering several questions and scenarios. Admissions committee will contact you if you are selected to continue to Step 3 in the GAP Application process.
- Step 3: Personal interview (video or face-to-face). Once you have completed this step, please allow a 2-week turnaround for a final acceptance decision.
- Applications will be accepted until July 31, 2021.
BASIC PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
- Insured, reliable vehicle for everyday transportation. You and/or your parents must be in a position to deal with any mechanical issues promptly so program participation is not hindered.
- Funds to cover tuition of $3,500.
- Funds to cover personal living and travel expenses of at least $300 per month.
- Medical insurance.
- Live with host family.
- A positive attitude that is willing to learn, be challenged, and submit to authority.
- A commitment to participate in 100% of the GAP activities.
- Mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual hunger to commit to the GAP Guys life-leadership training standards (fitness, reading assignments, and punctuality).
- Refrain periodically from dating during the 9-month GAP Guys timeframe.
- Refrain periodically from the internet, social media, and video games.
